With the Picknick (Picnic) series, Marianne Westman shaped the coming decades of Swedish porcelain design. It is considered to be the first tableware design that was created with bright colors and a wide variety of motifs. Around 50 different pieces of tableware were designed. The series is very popular with collectors today, as it is considered a pioneer for many series designed later. Due to the material used, it is very difficult to find well-preserved pieces these days. The tea cups in particular are absolute rarities.
