Lavender Hinoki

Japanese Hinoki wood is superbly combined with French Lavender for a scent that you'll find deeply comforting.

A study has shown that Hinoki can be used as a natural fly repellent which provides a 5 hours, 100% repellency against fruit fly. Hinoki also exhibits high anti-mold and anti-bacterial properties, which makes it an ideal choice for the Japanese to use Hinoki in their furniture and building construction materials since ancient times. A Journal published by Japan Wood Research Society shows that touching Hinoki wood calms prefrontal cortex activity and increases parasympathetic nervous activity, hence inducing physiological relaxation. This may possibility be co-related to the anxiety relief properties found through inhalation of the Hinoki essential oils. Hinoki is also found used in hair growth products as it actively removes DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which is the primary cause of hair loss.
