Wishbone Ash
Description:
Wishbone Ash established an original rock sound with their unique twin lead guitars and melodic melodies in the British rock scene of the 1970's. This rare live archive of Wishbone Ash is now available on CD! In 1973, the band underwent a member change and Rory Wisefield replaced Ted Turner, and the band shifted to a sound more conscious of the American market, but returned to its traditional sound with the release of "New England" in 1976. The band began a tour, starting with their third Japan tour. The December 1, 1976 concert in Cologne, Germany was recorded and broadcast for the popular music program "Rockpalast" produced by WDR. This live album is a complete recording of the concert, including the encores. Most of the songs are from the new album, but some of Ted Turner's best-known songs are also performed, including 'Bad Weather Blues,' which was only released as a single. The only live album from this period is "Live In Tokyo" edited into a single LP, so this is a valuable work.
