Rosalind Ventris
Description:
Rosalind Ventris, an internationally acclaimed soloist and chamber musician, makes her solo debut with an unaccompanied album! From "Suite for Viola" composed in 1930 by Imogen Holst (1902-1984), daughter of Gustav Holst, to "Light at the End of the Tunnel" composed by Scottish-born, American-based composer Shea Musgrave (1928-) during the 2020 lockdown, This is an interesting program spanning almost a century, performed by a single viola. It is also noteworthy that many of the featured composers were also professional string players. Tokyo M-Plus
