About the piece: I have been wanting to make this piece for a while, ever since I saw this Veiled Chameleon in a pet store that had been rejected, for being the wrong type of Veiled Chameleon. He was also described as being neurotic, which I thought was a hilarious personality description for a lizard. As I tried to get a good look at him from behind the branch he clung to, he kept ducking his head behind the branch, which was never going to effectively conceal his presence. We did the head ducking dance for a while, before I even realized that that was what he was doing. Diana's plus one is artist husband Bill Rupel, who wrote 'Lampost' -a song to go with her chameleon piece.
