Description:
The debut album by Brian Bamanya aka Afrorack, Africa's first astonishing electronic musician with a huge wall of DIY modular synthesizers, is finally on record. The most idealistic and hybrid evolution of electronic music, which has been handed down from Klaus Schulze to the present day, is now appearing in this form. And when they do exist, they are "unbelievably" expensive. So Afrorack taught himself electronics and decided to build a system. Since traditional modular synths were developed with Western musical methodology in mind, he developed his own musical methodology and language to suit his needs. He then challenged himself to incorporate East African rhythms and scales different from those of the West into his structure, while still using acid and techno as a base. He succeeded brilliantly.African Drum Machine" and "Why Serious" are the most obvious results of this, and at first listen they feel like 4/4 techno, but the myriad layers and oscillators bounce off each other to create a hypnotic new rhythm (inspired by the polyrhythmic structure unique to African music). ). This album is highly recommended for fans of African club music, world music, symphonic progressive rock such as Popol Vuh, Kraut Rock - environmental music, ambient music, YMO, as well as fans of the parent label of HAKUNA KULAL, NYEGE NYEGE TAPES and its surrounding area. Highly recommended for fans of the surrounding area. Great stuff to dance to and listen to. Please get it on vinyl!
