(Original release: 1970 / Liberty Records)This is the debut album by Sugarloaf, a four-piece from Colorado featuring Jerry Corbetta, who is well known to AOR fans for his solo album in 1978. The album was a big hit, peaking at No. 3 in the U.S. "Green Eyed Lady," a fuzz guitar-driven Yardbirds cover with a 60s West Coast garage/psychedelic vibe and Corbetta's blue-eyed soul voice blended with funky rhythms rooted in black music. Another highlight of the disc is the Bach - The Band medley, which beautifully crosses over between classical music and roots rock, thanks to Corbetta's outstanding organ playing.
