This limited oolong tea comes from untamed Meizhan bushes in the Longjuan area of Anxi, Fujian Province, China. “Longjuan” (龙涓) translates as “Dragon Stream,” referring to the winding mountain watercourses that run through this remote and misty part of Anxi.
The poetic name “Wild Meizhan from the Dragon Stream” pays tribute both to the tea’s origin and the wild, flowing energy of the landscape that shaped it.
The tea is harvested from an abandoned plantation, left untouched for over a decade. In that time, the Meizhan bushes have grown freely without trimming or fertilizers, gradually returning to a near-wild state. The Meizhan cultivar is valued for its bold aroma and depth, and in these conditions it reveals a purer, earthier character.
Traditional Anxi processing techniques are used: sun withering, indoor oxidation, manual rolling, and careful baking to shape the leaves into classic long, twisted stripes.
The result is a sweet, mellow, and complex oolong. The liquor is amber with floral and woody notes in the aroma. The taste is smooth and layered, with hints of honey, bark, and ripe fruit, finishing with a lasting sweetness.
