Exhaust Routing: The 90-degree bend allows the exhaust to be directed away from the generator unit toward the side or rear of the vehicle.

Slip-Fit Design: The pipe is designed to slide directly over the generator's exhaust down-tube and is secured with a heavy-duty clamp.

Vibration Dampening: The included hanger helps support the weight of the pipe while isolating the vibrations produced by the generator so they aren't felt throughout the RV.

Exhaust Smells Inside the RV: This is the most dangerous sign. If you smell exhaust fumes inside the cabin while the generator is running, the tailpipe may be cracked, rusted through, or disconnected.

Excessive Noise or Rattling: A loud "roaring" sound or metallic rattling often indicates a broken hanger, a loose clamp, or a hole in the pipe.

Visible Rust or Holes: Since these pipes are made of aluminized steel, they eventually corrode due to road salt and moisture. Small "pinholes" will eventually turn into large gaps.

Soot Deposits: If you see black carbon (soot) stains on the generator casing or the RV chassis near the exhaust, it means gases are escaping before reaching the end of the pipe.

Physical Damage or Dragging: Because the pipe hangs low, it can be bent or crushed by road debris, speed bumps, or steep driveways, restricting exhaust flow and causing the generator to overheat.
