Mozart (1756-1791)
Description:
Mozart's opera "The False Gardener" was written in 1774, when he was 18 years old. Mozart was already a full-fledged composer at this time, and this work is an opera buffa, but it also boasts a wonderful performance in the style of opera semicelia, which was popular at the time. Originally written in Italian, a German version was prepared before Mozart's death. This album features the German version from 2017, conducted by Androu Parrot and performed by the Munich Radio Orchestra. It is a remarkable performance with a distinguished lineup of singers, including Sandrine Piau, Lydia Teuscher, and Julien Pregardien, especially the German aria sung by Piau. The performance is a great pleasure to listen to, including the lively sound of the orchestra conducted by Parrott. Naxos Japan
