Malachite is typically found in in Botryoidal formations, which are bubbly round shapes like a cluster of grapes. Malachite that has formed in fibrous silky striations like this one are  known as Velvet Malachite. High quality pieces shimmer in the light like fine velvet - thus the name.

This is quite a large piece for such beautiful quality, quite a mind blowing chunk in person! A real collector's piece.

Malachite works strongly on the Heart Chakra, opening the heart to unconditional love. It encourages positive risk-taking and change, breaks unwanted ties and outworn patterns and teaches how to take responsibility for our own actions, thoughts and feelings. Malachite releases inhibitions and develops empathy with others.
