The 2016 Reserve Francis Couselle from Chateau Thieuley has a fragrant, quite floral bouquet with blackberry and dark plum fruit, well defined and Margaux-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, almost citrus-fresh black and red fruit with a touch of spice towards the finish.

About The Winery

This estate is a family-owned and -operated winery whose story begins in 1950, when Andre Courselle bought Chateau Thieuley to lay the foundation of a great vineyard. In 1972, his son Francis Courselle took over the property and over the next 30 years, expanded their holdings and increased the number of vines planted from 4 to 80 hectares over their three properties - Chateau Thieuley, Clos Sainte Anne and Château Saint Genes.
