It has n closures - it just sits on the shoulders. You could easily add a brooch or even a hook and eye if you wished. The pattern is stunningly beautiful - glossy black sequins hand sewn in a floral design. The edges are scalloped and edged with more sequins. There is minow sequin loss as to be expected with a piece of this age. It weighs ounces and is utterly beautiful and all original!
