A bimonthly magazine helping readers ‘to lead more fulfilled lives’ through idleness. The irony is that making a magazine does not involve even a hint of idleness, but the message remains: slow down and enjoy life!

This latest issue for July 2026 leads with a feature by Stuart Maconie, exploring the juxtaposing creative and life philosophies of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. As Tom Hodgkinson writes in this issue’s editorial: ‘The number of John Lennon songs which praise idleness are many indeed, while Paul’s oeuvre is distinctly more dynamic’.
