The Blackmagic Design Videohub 80x80 12G is a massive, broadcast-grade zero latency SDI router built for high-density facilities, OB trucks, and master control rooms that need to switch any combination of SD, HD, Ultra HD, and DCI 4K signals on the same matrix at the same time. Packing 80 12G-SDI inputs and 80 12G-SDI outputs into a single 4RU chassis, it cross-points up to 80 sources to 80 destinations with no signal degradation, automatically detecting each input rate from DVB-ASI and 270Mb SD through 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G-SDI for resolutions all the way up to 2160p60 and 4K DCI. SDI re-clocking on every output keeps long cable runs and downstream equipment locked to a clean, stable signal.

Operation is fast and intuitive thanks to a built-in 5-inch Full HD LCD that shows live video of the selected source alongside routing menus, paired with 24 dedicated front-panel control buttons and a spin knob for browsing and assigning sources on the fly. A tri-sync and black burst reference input with loop-through allows the router to be genlocked into any professional plant, while 10/100/1000 Ethernet and USB-C provide remote control from the free Videohub control software for Mac, Windows, and iPad, or from external Videohub Master Control and Smart Control hardware panels.

Engineered for 24/7 mission-critical reliability, the Videohub 80x80 12G includes dual redundant internal 100-240V power supplies with power-fail routing protection, so the crosspoint state is preserved even if a supply drops. With its scalable 12G-SDI architecture, compact 4RU footprint, and native multi-format handling, it is an ideal central routing core for live production, post facilities, broadcast playout, and large AV installations standardizing on a single high-bandwidth SDI infrastructure.
