Scissor & Thread present a collaboration between label boss Francis Harris and DJ Aakmael. Aakmael has built a reputation for some of the deepest, rawest house music sounds coming out of the US, releasing well-received tracks on a variety of labels. Aakmael and Harris cook up an intoxicating vibe across this five-track EP. Aakmael's "Deep Muzik" is a blend of skittering drums, a shuffling groove, deep keys, and chords. On the B side, Frank joins Aakmael for "Mercy Of Means", slipping into an easy, mid-tempo groove before Frank's "Part Song" also hones in on the subtle deep grooves.
