Grip-Rite ShingleLayment is a synthetic replacement for #30 and #15 asphalt felt roofing underlayment. It is use on steep slope roofs under shingles, battened tiles, metal roofing, slate, wood shake and shingle, and simulated slate/shake prepared roof coverings. This Shingle Layment is a woven 8mm x 8mm scrim polypropylene substrate coated with a non-skid polypropylene walking surface. With a water shedding device designed to reduce the occurrence of leaks caused by wind-driven rain penetrating primary roof system coverings, as well as damaged roof coverings, and as temporary cover on exposed roof systems. The lightweight 10 square rolls feature installation and nailing grids for easy accurate application increasing productivity and reduces labor and waste. It can be used under any code-compliant mechanically attached roofing application. Grip-Rite ShingleLayment synthetic underlayments are ICC listed under ICC-ES ESR #2945 for compliance with AC 188 and can be exposed to natural UV for up to 180 days.
