The Omega Seamaster Diver 300m (steel) is the core model in the revitalized 25th anniversary Omega Seamaster professional diver 300m collection, redesigned for 2018. This is the model that most directly descends from the famed Bond Seamaster of the 1990s. This new version of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m has changed a little from the previous version, but this timepiece is still far slimmer than any Planet Ocean. This version is made for all purpose daily wear, but it also appropriate for sports.

Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Co-Axial Master Design

Lug to lug, this timepiece is 50 millimeters but compact across the wrist because the new bracelet fitted to the case has pivoted end links. This allows the bracelet to pull straight down rather than flaring past the lugs. The result is that the watch wears slimmer across the wrist, and the space between the lugs is still 20 millimeters.

This luxury Swiss advanced diver’s watch is displayed on a traditional stainless steel band and features a water resistance of more than 300 meters, highlighting both practicality and styling. It is packed with a slim and elegant bracelet and a secure button clasp.

The bracelet features a more squared-off flank since screws take the place of pin sleeves to allow for sizable links. It is more squared off and has a sporting profile at the edge, but the intermediate links have a high polish and the satin finish is as crisp as ever. Additionally, significant gaps on the underside help to avoid pinching skin, pulling hair, or trapping heat.

The clasp is sensitive, and it is finished with a Depot mega engraving. It has a stunning polished bevel down the sides and the olive style twin triggers release the mechanism. The push-button slider gives adjustment and flexibility.

The helium escape valve's substance has been integral to the diver 300m since 1993, but what sets this new model apart is that the re-profiled helium escape valve can be opened underwater. The helium escape valve is on the case edge in the 10 o'clock position.

This model features a 42 mm case made of stainless steel and includes a one-way revolving, high gloss blue zirconium oxide ceramic dial with a white enamel diving scale. [ZrO2] is engraved on the dial directly below the center hands along with engraved waves, and there is a date window at 6 o'clock. Rhodium-plated white Super-LumiNova fills the indexes and skeletal hands, all secured by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

The case back has a display sapphire crystal core that enables the magnificent Omega Master Chronometer Caliber 8800 movement to be seen. The exhibition case back is stunning! The rotor and visible bridges are made with a unique arabesque wave design finish.

This watch has a width of 42 mm. The height is 50 mm and the thickness is 13.5 mm. The lug's width is 20 mm.

Mechanism and Movement

Omega 8800 has a self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement, Certified Master Chronometer, is approved by METAS, and is resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.

The watch operates by a free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, with automatic winding in both directions. The finishing is Rhodium plated with Geneva waves in arabesque. It is powered by a spectacular Swiss Co-Axial Auto chronometer movement with a power reserve of 55 hours. Omega Master Co-Axial caliber 8800 beats at 25,200 vph and contains 35 jewels. Plus, the unidirectional rotating bezel is a unique technique that helps calculate diving time efficiently. The bezel only moves in the counter-clockwise direction, ensuring the diver's safety even in the condition of unexpected underwater manipulation.

METAS Certified Master-Chronometer

The completed watch, with its COSC certified Chronometer movement, undergoes rigorous tests that represent real-life conditions.

Certification METAS checks water resistance, accuracy, and magnetic resistance to 15.000 gauss. The luminous dot at the starting point is easily distinguished in the dark. The blue-on-blue model in full steel is the anchor model of the revitalized dive r300—the direct descendant of Pierce Brosnan's 2530 180.
