A lot of brands are making 70’s inspired corduroy blazers right now…but this is the real deal! It was made by Ellen Tracy in the early 70’s and even has it’s original union tag inside. It boasts a rich burgondy hue cotton corduroy fabrication, a tailored fit, a two button front closure, wide lapels, two fully lined front pockets with angular flaps that mirror the lapels, and a silky smooth lined interior so you can slip it on over layers with ease. It has it’s original Ellen Tracy label at the inner neckline and is a size 5/6, suitable for a modern day women’s size small.
Condition:
Excellent condition with no damages to note.
History:
Ellen Tracy was founded by Herb Gallen in 1949, originally as a manufacturer of blouses. This blazer comes from a pivotal moment in this company’s history…in the 1970’s, following the rise of the career women, their junior customers were entering the workforce so Ellen Tracy made their big move into contemporary departments!
