This assembly accepts your existing factory bulb and plug—no rewiring needed. Just swap the old unit for the new one using the factory connector.

Does the black housing need any prep work before install?

The black finish comes ready to bolt on as-is. No sanding, primer, or paint required. If you prefer a different look later, the housing can be painted or wrapped.
