A girl after my own heart--looking full of attitude and with a mind very much of her own. Her hand-painted golden necklace makes her feel even more like a princess, with pale blue ribbons and sash to boot.  Alone, I would love her, but it is the inclusion of half her mother in the frame that makes this just right to my eye--formally/compositionally, but also in terms of the dynamic her presence introduces, as if this child were midway through the process of asserting her own independence!
