Mode of Action

Fiproguard acts as a broad-spectrum phenylpyrazole insecticide. Fipronil disrupts the insect's central nervous system by aggressively blocking the GABA-gated chloride channels and glutamate-gated chloride (GluCl) channels . This causes massive, uncontrollable hyper-excitation of the nerves and muscles, leading to immediate paralysis and rapid death.
